Sanchir Sukhtumur has over 17 years of experience in practicing law in both public and private sectors.

Started his career as an in-house counsel at the Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia, one of the largest commercial banks in Mongolia. During his tenure of 6 years at TDBM, he worked as a lawyer, a compliance officer and special asset lawyer and has experience working on bank related internal legal matters /banking activities, client and shareholder relation/, fighting against anti-money laundering and terrorism financing matters /reporting and monitoring/ as well as repayment of non-performing loans/court litigation and execution of court resolution/.

Then he shifted his career into mining sector and worked at Oyu Tolgoi LLC, a subsidiary of Rio Tinto, as an in-house counsel for 3 years. He was in charge of Health, Safety and Environment, Open-Pit, Underground, Open-Pit, Concentrator and Infrastructure related legal matters.

In 2015, he became public officer and started working at the Judicial General Council of Mongolia as a Senior officer and Head of the Judicial Administration Department at JGC. He managed administrations of all levels of courts and monitored their day-to-day activities, judicial IT, archives and case flow management, among others. 

Since late 2019, Sanchir is working as a Partner at DB & GTS LLP and leading the litigation practice.  

Sanchir is admitted to practice law in Mongolia. He is a member of Mongolian Bar Association and Mongolian Advocates Association.

Sanchir speaks Mongolian and English.
